This hand just happened on Bodog 1/2 and left me wondering if I played it wrong.
My stack is ~500 and villian is around ~250. Anyway I'm middle position with 5 7 off so of course I raise to $6 and get 4 callers. Villian is directly to my left so he acts after me on each hand. I have position on the other two callers (the blinds). Flop comes 7 5 2 rainbow. Blinds check to me and I make my standard continuation bet of about half the pot or $12 in this case. Villian smooth calls and blinds fold. Turn comes a 7 giving me the nuts. I bet $19 into the $48 pot and villian raises me to $45. Whats my next move?
And I apologize for the sloppy writing, it's late and hard for me to think straight.

Seeing as how you have the board pretty much crippled, I would just smooth call here for the following reasons:
1. He may be simply putting you on big cards and he has a hand like A-5s and he trying to see if it is good
2. If he has a pocket pair (66,88, or 99) reraising him will probably convince him that you have a bigger pocket pair and he might be able to get away
3. If he has something like 87, 55, 22, you're getting it in on the river, barring you hit quads
I would call, then if the river comes anything but an A,K,Q I push all in so that he doesnt get to check down his semi-strong hand...If one of those 3 cards hits, I bet mildly, something like $60, in hopes he calls (of course if he has trips or a different boat its going in regardless) only becuase he may have 66, or A5 and might be scared by big cards...
An 8,9, or 6 would be somewhat scary, only becuase he might overboat you, but if he does you just have to bite it...check raising the river might not be a bad play either as it gives him a chance to bluff if he was drawing (86 or 34, or maybe some backdoor flush draw)
